3 Wochen Hochzeitsreise nach Bhutan (und Nepal) waren schnell vorbei - nun sind wir zurück.
Bis detaillierte Blogposts kommen wird es noch ein Weilchen dauern, da wir ca. 2500 Bilder sichten, auswählen und bearbeiten werden und Euch natürlich die besten davon zusammen mit unseren Eindrücken und Erlebnissen zeigen möchten.

3 weeks honeymoon in Bhutan went by way to fast - it's already a week that we are back.
It will be a while until we will post in more detail, as there is about 2500 images to review and select the best to show you. Along with impressions and experiences we made in this wonderful country in the Himalaya.
Above picture shows the probably most famous monastery of the country: The Tiger Nest.

Nur soviel schon vorab ~ just this much:
1 - Nein, es blühen nicht alle Rhododendren im Frühjahr. Eigentlich muss man sogar ziemlich Glück haben um richtig viele verschiedene Arten blühen zu sehen und hängt vom Monat und der Höhe ab.
1 - No, not all rhododendron trees blossom in spring. Actually you have to be quite lucky to spot a large number of different kinds. It depends on month and altitude.
2 - Nein, man begegnet auch bei unserem relativ langen Trek durch abgelegenere Gebiete keinem Takin und schon gleich gar keinem Schneeleoparden.
2 - No, you won't see a Takin and less a snow leopard, not even if you are doing a relatively long trek through remote areas like we did.
3 - Das letzte Shangri-La ist Bhutan nicht: der Tourismus (auch der der Inder und allgemein Asiaten) hat Einzug gehalten. Somit auch die Schattenseiten der Zivilisation: Müll.
3 - Bhutan is not the last Shangri-La. Tourism (Indians and generally Asians) have discovered the country. With tourism and civilisation comes the problem of garbage.
4 - Die Bhutaner leben nicht wie vor 100 Jahren. Sie haben Mobiltelefone und auch im abgelegenen Dorf Laya gibt es TV - solarbetrieben. Wenn man die Einsamkeit und Unabhängigkeit vom Handy sucht, dann sollte man es ausschalten. Netz hat man fast überall.
4 - The Bhutanese do not live like 100 years ago. They do have mobile phones and even in the remote village of Laya there is TV - powered by solar energy. If you are looking for solitude and want to get rid of the slavery of the mobile phone turn it off. There is network pretty everywhere.
5 - Ja, der Anflug nach Paro ist abenteuerlich, aber immerhin möglich mit grossen Jets.
5 - Yes, the approach into Paro airport is somewhat adventorous. But even large jets land there.
6 - Kulinarisch könnte sich Bhutan der Welt noch etwas öffnen, um es mal vorsichtig zu sagen.
6 - To not speak negatively: Bhutan could be a bit more open to the world in culinary terms.
7 - Nein, es ist nicht an jeder Hauswand ein Phallus gemalt.
7 - Not every house is decorated by a phallus.
8 - Ja, die Bhutaner leben noch sehr traditionsbewusst.
8 - Yes, the Bhutanese still live in traditional ways and cherish it.
9 - Die Berglandschaft ist sensationell.
9 - The mountain scenery is amazing.
10 - Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit im Land und können Bhutan als Trekking- und Kulturdestination jedem weiter empfehlen der Trekkingaffin ist und etwas anderes als Massentreks in Nepal sucht. Aber: geht bald, auch in Bhutan werden Strassen in die abgelegenen Dörfer gebaut.
10 - We had a wonderful time in this country and can only recommend Bhutan as a trekking and culture destination to those who like trekking and are looking for something different than the highway treks in Nepal. But visit soon, also in Bhutan they are constructing roads into remote areas.
